Dan Chang

Daniel Chang currently serves as an Advisor at Spring Labs since February 2024 and holds the position of General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer at Splash Financial since March 2021. Previously, Daniel was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Meritize from March 2019 to March 2021, as well as the Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Counsel during that tenure. Daniel also served as the VP and Chief Compliance Officer at Cross River from August 2016 to March 2019, focusing on marketplace lending and regulatory compliance. From June 2013 to August 2016, Daniel was the Associate General Counsel and Director of Compliance at Avant, Inc. Daniel's career began with roles as an Attorney at Sudekum, Cassidy & Shulruff, Chtd. and a Litigation Associate at Yokoyama & Associates, P.C., after starting as a 711 License Attorney with the Cook County Public Defender in 2006. Daniel holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
