Stephen South has a diverse work experience in marketing and brand strategy roles. Stephen started their career as a Retail Sales Floor Associate at Nike in 2006. Stephen then worked as a Nike ADRENALINE Intern before transitioning to a Global Brand Marketing Specialist role, where they collaborated with various teams to develop marketing strategies. Stephen then became a Sports Marketing Specialist, managing the Nike relationship with the US Soccer Federation. Stephen later joined Nike's Product Development team as a Product Marketing & Field Test Analyst, contributing to the creation of a soccer ball used in top professional soccer leagues. Stephen then became a Global Brand Manager, leading brand strategy for Nike Football, Baseball, and Lacrosse. In 2013, they joined Twitter as a Brand Strategist, pitching and executing social media campaigns for Fortune 500 companies. Stephen was later promoted to Senior Brand Strategist and then to Senior Manager, Marketing & Partnerships, where they led a team and managed the growth of the Video Production product. Stephen's most recent role is Director of Marketing at SponsorUnited, starting in 2023.
Stephen South received their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Marketing & Management from the University of Portland, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Stephen pursued further education and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business at Hult International Business School from 2012 to 2013. In addition to their degrees, they obtained a certification in Sensory Evaluation from CfPA - The Center for Professional Advancement in August 2011.
