Desmond Johnson

Desmond Johnson is an accomplished media professional and entrepreneur based in North Carolina, currently serving as the owner of Tobacco Road Sports Radio since March 2020, focusing on local sports coverage, including high school, ACC, and professional sports. Additionally, Desmond is a writer for Sports Illustrated, contributing to coverage of the Charlotte Hornets and Greensboro Swarm, and hosts the Bleav in Carolina Panthers Podcast. As the owner of SportsCarolina Monthly, Desmond publishes feature stories for sports enthusiasts in North Carolina. Previous experience includes roles as a part-time instructor at Forsyth Technical Community College, creative director and on-air talent at WSJS Sports Hub Triad, and various positions in radio and digital marketing.
