Wenyi Wang has worked in various roles since 2010. Wenyi started as an English Teacher at New Oriental Education & Technology Group in 2010. In 2013, they became a UX Designer at China Petroleum, where they created a meeting management application for web and tablet, and was responsible for interaction design for a 7-inch touch screen IP desktop phone running android. In 2014, they took on a UX Designer (Contract) role at Leo Burnett, where they created a mobile site design reflecting new plan feature for U. S. Cellular. From 2015 to 2016, Wenyi worked as a UX Designer/Researcher (Contract) at Public Good Software, Inc., where they designed the overall experience for Public Good for Publisher, redesigned the user onboarding experience to increase new user sign-up rate, and redesigned the search experience to increase users’ engagement with nonprofits. In 2017, they became a UX Designer at Manifest LLC, and in 2018, they moved to SpotHero, where they have held the roles of Lead Product Designer and Senior Product Designer.
Wenyi Wang holds a B.A. in English from Yangtze Normal University (2006-2010), a UI Design Bootcamp from Mars Era Institute of Digital Arts (2012), and an M.S. in Human Computer Interaction from DePaul University (2015-2017).
