Greg Sanders

Greg Sanders is a seasoned software engineer and technical manager with extensive experience in data management, software development, and systems architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at SpotOn, Greg specializes in POS/payments processing and API development. Previous roles include Database Architect at Yes Energy, where a Dockerized Python platform for complex data processing was maintained, and Senior Technical Manager at Chapin Hall, focusing on integrated data systems for child and youth welfare. Greg has also held positions at the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning and Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission, where web-based data systems were managed and developed. In the earlier stages of the career, Greg served as IT Director at the Cleveland Housing Network and made significant contributions as a Senior Programmer-analyst at Penske Logistics. Greg holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Oberlin College. Additionally, Greg contributed creatively as a singer-songwriter in the band Sharkbites from 1983 to 1997.
