Bob Blanchard has over 40 years of work experience in various industries. Bob started their career in the US Navy as a Petty Officer from 1973 to 1978. After that, they worked as a Turbine-Generator Field Engineer at GE in 1981. From 1982 to 1985, they were an Outage Coordinator/Assistant Outage Coordinator at Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company.
In 1985, Bob joined Sprague Energy as Vice President - Terminals, where they were responsible for the Terminals Business Unit, managing a network of 16 oil/material handling terminals. Bob held this position until 2002 and was also a member of the Executive and Operations Committees.
From 2003 to 2005, Bob worked at Aggregate Industries as Vice President/General Manager, overseeing the Liquid Asphalt, Recycled Products, and Mobile Equipment Divisions.
In 2006, they joined Irving Oil as Director of Sales, Terminal Supply and Natural Gas, where they were later promoted to increasingly senior leadership roles. In this position, they had P&L responsibility for wholesaling over 50 million barrels of petroleum products and managed various departments including petroleum/renewable fuel supply coordination, natural gas supply and sales, and aircraft refueling businesses.
Finally, in 2014, Bob became the Managing Director of Business Development at Sprague Operating Resources LLC.
Bob Blanchard attended the University of Maine from 1977 to 1981, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Later, from 1991 to 1993, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business at UNH Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics.
