In 2022, Ellye joined Spreedly as a Technical Account Manager - LATAM, where they support Spreedly customers in their international ecommerce growth by assisting with online payments orchestration. They focus on the emerging Latin American market and work to provide flexible solutions for cross-border transactions.
From 2019 to 2022, Ellye worked at MercuryGate International. Initially, they served as a Technical Support Engineer, providing support for MercuryGate's Transportation Management System. They then advanced to the role of Technical Support Manager, where they managed a global support team, handled incident response management, and implemented cross-functional process design and planning. They also gained expertise in Salesforce and built productivity paths and dashboards for the support team.
In 2019, Ellye briefly worked as a Sales Representative at Tizbi, specializing in solving complex business problems with software solutions.
From 2013 to 2018, Ellye held the role of Donor Relations Coordinator at Sun Valley Summer Symphony, where they developed and managed a system of donor recognition during the symphony season.
In 2017 and 2018, Ellye worked as a Hospitality Consultant and Spanish Translator, assisting local businesses and families in Latin America with their entrepreneurial ventures. They helped with translation, promotion, strategic relationships, business planning, and staff training.
At Mallarme Chamber Players from 2015 to 2017, Ellye served as the Development and Marketing Director, as well as a flutist. They excelled in building relationships, increasing income from ad sales, and expanding the organization's social media presence. They also facilitated focus groups and initiated a strategic planning process.
Ellye worked as a Freelance Consultant from 2014 to 2016, providing grant writing and strategic coaching for non-profit organizations such as The Art of Cool Festival, The Vivaldi Project, and WireTap New Music. They helped establish sustainable grant requesting strategies, built relationships with foundations and arts councils, and developed marketing strategies.
They also briefly worked as a Grant Writer at Kidznotes in 2013 and as an App and Database Administrator at CulturePath.com in 2014, where they managed the CulturePath Mobile Application and database for Arts Week in New York City.
Throughout their career, Ellye has demonstrated skills in customer support, technical training, project management, fundraising, relationship-building, and marketing strategy.
Ellye Walsh's education history begins in 2005 when they attended the North Carolina Governor's School West, where they studied Orchestra, Philosophy, Self and Society. In 2007, they enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned their Bachelor's degree in Music in 2011. During their time at the university, in 2009 and 2010, they participated in a program offered by IES Abroad, focusing on German Language, Culture, and Music.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Ellye continued their education at Northwestern University from 2011 to 2013, earning a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Flute Performance.
More recently, in 2022, Ellye attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill again to obtain a Data Analytics Certificate with a focus on Data Visualization. In the same year, they also completed a Data Analytics Boot Camp offered by UNC-Chapel Hill Digital and Lifelong Learning, obtaining a certification.
