Jonathan Kainer

Jonathan Kainer is an experienced Fire Protection Engineer at Kinder Morgan, Inc. since November 2019, overseeing fire safety for multiple business units and addressing various hazardous materials. Jonathan's extensive background includes serving as a part-time firefighter with Spring Fire Department since April 2013, and previously with Ponderosa Fire Department and Spring Fire Department. As the owner and Risk Engineer at Kainer Fire & Risk from April 2016 to November 2019, Jonathan conducted property inspections to assess potential fire-related losses. A former Highly Protected Risk Engineer Intern at Wiseman Fire Protection, Jonathan analyzed data on business interruption and loss values. Jonathan also led HAZWOPER teams during the Deepwater Horizon response with The Response Group. Education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection from the University of Houston-Downtown and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Texas A&M University.
