Amy L. has over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health counseling. Amy began their career in 1998 as an Education Specialist at The Family Place, where they provided career and educational counseling to women escaping domestic violence. In 2000, they joined Collin College as a Professional Counselor, where they worked with a diverse range of students and provided mental health counseling, crisis interventions, and career development services. Amy started working at Spring Health in 2022 as a Mental Health Counselor, specializing in Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counseling. Amy utilizes their extensive experience in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) counseling to support employees' mental well-being.
Amy L. completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English from the University of South Dakota. Amy then pursued a Master's degree in Counseling & Psychology In Education from the same university. Amy has also obtained additional certifications including the Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) from Evergreen Certifications. Currently, they are undergoing training to become a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider through PESI. Additionally, Amy holds the LPC-S certification in Texas from the Texas Department of State Health Services and is also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) through The National Board for Certified Counselors.
