Before joining The Washington Post, Geetu was a Senior Researcher at Comcast Labs DC. In this role, Geetu focused on innovation in video search, discovery, and recommendations. Geetu led the research efforts for T-Search, Comcast's video search and discovery platform, and developed machine learning models for global video segmentation and indexing.
Geetu's professional journey began at M*Modal, where they were a Senior Research Scientist. At M*Modal, Geetu was involved in various roles, including designing and developing the company's Natural Language Understanding (NLU) engine and setting up and running the first operations and quality assurance team.
In addition to these roles, Geetu also worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Language & Speech Processing at JHU from 2002 to 2003.
