Dr. Eric Tingle has held various leadership and educational roles in different school districts and organizations. Dr. Eric served as the Director of Strategic Innovation at Spring ISD starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they were the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning at Lake Worth ISD from June 2019 to June 2022. Dr. Eric also worked as a Regional School Improvement Manager at the Texas Education Agency and a Principal at Houston ISD. Additionally, they held positions such as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston, Assistant Principal at Houston ISD, and Teacher/Interventionist at Alief Independent School District. Dr. Tingle also participated in the Aspiring Superintendent Cohort at Teach For America Houston.
Dr. Eric Tingle completed their Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching at the University of Oklahoma from 2001 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Educational Management/Principalship at the University of Houston-Clear Lake from 2009 to 2011. Dr. Eric then earned their Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership/Superintendent at the University of Houston-Clear Lake from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Principal (EC-12) and Superintendent (EC-12) from the State of Texas, along with certifications in English as a Second Language (EC-4) and Generalist (EC-4).
