Operations Manager Lead at Springboard

Michelle Shokoor has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Peer Mentor at CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, where they led activities and provided support to students. Michelle continued their education-related work by becoming a Professor's Assistant at California State University East Bay.

Michelle then worked as an Enforcement Intern at EEOC, where they analyzed employment discrimination cases and assisted in investigations.

Michelle gained HR experience at Space Systems Loral and SSL, where they held roles such as Human Resource Intern and HR Operations and Services Coordinator. In these positions, they managed recruiting processes, conducted interviews, and coordinated onboarding activities.

Michelle also worked at Facebook and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative as a Product Support Specialist, providing support and assistance to users.

Michelle then transitioned into the education field, joining Teach For America and Rocketship Discovery Prep as a Teacher. In these roles, they managed students, created lesson plans, and communicated with parents and co-teachers.

Currently, Michelle is working at Springboard, first as a Community Manager, then as an Operations Manager. Michelle is responsible for developing programs, managing operations, and guiding mentors through student challenges.

Michelle Shokoor has completed a program in User Experience Design at Springboard in 2019. Michelle also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources Management and Marketing Management, alongside a minor in Philosophy, which they earned from California State University - East Bay between 2009 and 2013.
