Amanda L Sheldon has extensive work experience in the fields of medical communications, research, and editing. Amanda L started their career as an undergraduate researcher at the University of Delaware, where they conducted immunohistochemical work and experiments on avian kidney tissue. Amanda L then worked as a research associate at the National Institutes of Health before pursuing their PhD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where they focused on understanding the trafficking mechanisms of glutamate transporters. After completing their PhD, Amanda worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Thomas Jefferson University, gaining further expertise in the field. Amanda L later joined the Center for Technology Transfer at the University of Pennsylvania, where they conducted research on various technologies and prepared prior art reports. Amanda L then joined Complete Publication Solutions as a medical writer before moving on to their current role as a medical director and associate medical director at inScience Communications, Springer Healthcare. In their current position, they use their expertise and experience to lead and guide medical projects and communicate scientific information effectively.
Amanda L Sheldon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience from the University of Delaware in 2001. Amanda L then went on to complete their PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, graduating in 2007. In 2014, they obtained their Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) certification from the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP).
