Haoran Wei

Haoran Wei is a Senior Engineer in Machine Learning Research at Samsung Research America, contributing to the improvement of the Bixby Wake-Up keyword verifier model, which was deployed globally on Samsung phones in May 2023, earning the MPS Star Award as the first contributor. Additionally, Haoran serves as an Associate Editor for the "Journal of Real-Time Image Processing" at Springer Nature Group. Previous experience includes roles as a Senior Algorithm Engineer at Visla, a Research Intern at Kwai Inc., and a Software Engineer Intern at OPPO. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas, a Master’s Degree in Communication and Information Systems, and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Engineering from Shanghai Normal University.
