Mary James

Mary James is an experienced publishing professional with a robust background in academic and trade acquisition. Currently serving as Executive Editor and previously as Senior Editor at Springer Nature Group since June 2014, Mary focuses on acquiring and publishing content related to communications engineering and signal processing. Additionally, Mary has been an Advisor for the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) since June 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Acquisitions Editor at John Wiley and Sons, where Mary specialized in professional and trade books on various technology topics, and as Associate Acquisitions Editor at Morgan Kaufmann Publishers / Elsevier, concentrating on interactive technologies.
