Ben Jones

Ben Jones is an Engineering Doctorate Student at SPTS Technologies Ltd since October 2020. Previously, Ben served as an MSc research student at Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru / Natural Resources Wales from August 2019 to October 2020 and worked as a Mechanical Designer at Oxford Instruments between July 2018 and August 2019, following an earlier role as a Junior Mechanical Designer with the same company from June 2015 to September 2017. Ben's career began as a Technical Apprentice at Oxford Instruments, completing a Technical Apprenticeship focused on mechanical fitting, machining, MIG welding, and mechanical CAD design from September 2010 to August 2014. Ben holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Materials Engineering from Swansea University, earned between 2014 and 2018, and a Higher National Certificate in Mechatronics from Bridgwater & Taunton College, completed in 2014.
