Ho Ming Li (HML) has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. (HML) Ho Ming'smost recent role is as a Principal Solutions Architect at SpyCloud, where they started in December 2021. Prior to that, they were a Solutions Engineering Leader at Open Raven from October 2020 to August 2021, helping customers gain context to exposed data and prevent cloud security and privacy exposures.

Before Open Raven, HML worked at Gremlin as the Head of Solutions Architecture from October 2019 to October 2020. Here, they defined a new discipline and furthered the adoption of Chaos Engineering practice. (HML) Ho Ming also held the position of Principal Solutions Architect at Gremlin from February 2018 to October 2019, focusing on ensuring resiliency through controlled chaos.

HML's earlier work experience includes roles at Amazon Web Services, where they served as a Sr Technical Account Manager / Enterprise Support Engineer from November 2015 to February 2018, and as a Solutions Architect from July 2014 to November 2015. (HML) Ho Ming also worked at ActiveState as a Cloud Solution Architect (Stackato) from March 2012 to July 2014, evangelizing and supporting the company's Cloud Foundry-based solution.

HML started their career at WebCT (Blackboard), where they worked as a Release Engineer / IT Student from September 2005 to May 2006. Responsibilities included supporting development infrastructure, performing testing, and providing IT services.

Ho Ming Li attended The University of British Columbia from 2003 to 2009, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Ho Ming Li has obtained various certifications. In 2014, they achieved the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services. The following year, in 2015, they earned the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate and AWS Certified Developer - Associate certifications. Ho Ming Li further expanded their credentials by obtaining the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification in 2015 and the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification in 2016.

Furthermore, Ho Ming Li holds a DB2 9 Family Fundamentals Certification from IBM. Additionally, they have certifications in water safety, including the National Lifeguard Service (NLS) - Pool certification and the Water Safety Instructor / Lifesaving Instructor certification from the Lifesaving Society Ontario.
