Gatis Mencendorfs

Gatis Mencendorfs has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Gatis started their career as a Scientific Assistant and Mechanical Engineer at the Institute of Physics of the University of Latvia, where they conducted research and designed liquid metal pumping systems. Gatis also worked on mechanical part design and temperature control systems.

After that, Gatis joined UAV Factory as a Mechatronics Engineer, where they focused on UAS system design and testing. Gatis later became the Head of Reliability and Flight Department, leading a team of professionals responsible for daily test flight operations, failure investigations, and managing technical documentation.

In 2016, Gatis joined AKG Thermotechnik International as a Programmer. Gatis was involved in the development and production of heat exchangers and complete cooling modules for various applications. Gatis'sresponsibilities included programming and ensuring the quality of the products.

Currently, Gatis is the Head of Hardware at Squad Robotics, a position they assumed in 2022.

Gatis Mencendorfs completed their secondary education at Riga State Gymnasium No.1 from 2003 to 2006. Gatis obtained The Secondary School Examination Certificate of Latvia during this time. Following that, from 2006 to 2011, they attended Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University) and earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering. In March 2016, Gatis obtained a certificate in "Inspiring and Motivating Individuals" from Coursera Course Certificates.
