Software Engineering Lead at Squadformers

Allan M. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and leadership. Allan is currently working as a Software Engineering Lead at Squadformers since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at PacketFabric as a Senior Software Engineer from May 2020 to January 2022. Allan also held the position of Software Engineering Lead at Absolute Results from November 2018 to May 2020.

In 2014, Allan joined PlayyOn as a Technical Advisor and later became the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As the CTO, they were responsible for the architecture and implementation of their SaaS product for sports and recreation. During their tenure, they led the product through various iterations to find market fit and also built a small team of UX designers and product developers.

Before PlayyOn, Allan worked at Suite.io (formerly Suite101.com), where they held the position of CTO (previously Director of Engineering) from January 2013 to April 2014. In this role, they were responsible for leading the technological direction of the company's web properties and implemented an agile product development process. Allan also managed technical and operational budgets and supported business growth through customer-focused management of technical projects.

From November 2011 to January 2013, Allan served as a Software Engineering Lead at Darelle.com, a social e-commerce startup. Allan'sresponsibilities included coordinating engineering and product direction with the executive team, managing day-to-day operations of the engineering team, and overseeing product planning, system architecture, and design. Allan also developed and maintained client and server-side software and directed the Quality Assurance team.

Allan's career began in 2006, working as a Web Developer at Adsum Drive Enterprises and as a Senior Automation Engineer at Tantalus Systems Corp. From 2009 to 2010, they were the Co-Founder and Lead Developer of TheProposalStory.com, an online community focused on sharing creative wedding proposal stories. Prior to that, they co-founded and served as the lead developer of CollabVillage.com, a platform for the Games & Entertainment Industry to create and promote online portfolios.

Overall, Allan M. has demonstrated a strong technical and leadership background throughout their career, with experience in software engineering, team management, product development, and project management.

Allan M. began their education in 1993 at the University of Manitoba, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering. Allan completed this program in 1998. Following a break in their education, Allan returned to school in 2004 at The Art Institute of Vancouver/Burnaby. During their time there, they focused on Professional Recording Arts and concluded their studies in 2006.
