Acca Gatis Silins

Gatis Silins, ACCA has over 14 years of work experience, starting in 2002 at Latvijas Banka as a Money Operation Specialist. Gatis then worked at L'Oréal as a Business Controller for the Baltic States in 2005 before joining JSC “Mortgage and Land Bank of Latvia” in 2006. At JSC, they held various roles including Chief Accountant, Head of Accounting Department, and Financial Manager for the Promotional Program Office. In 2012, Silins moved to AS DNB banka as the Head of Accounting Department. From 2015 to 2016, they worked at 4Finance IT Ltd as the Head of Finance. Currently, Silins serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Squalio, leading the Finance & Accounting function in an IT company with affiliates in multiple countries. Gatis is responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, business performance measurement, and funding strategies implementation.

Gatis Silins, ACCA, holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Riga Business School, which they completed from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Latvijas Universitate between 2002 and 2004. Gatis also holds a Bachelor's degree in International Economic Relations from Riga Technical University, which they achieved from 1999 to 2002.

In terms of additional certifications, Gatis Silins has completed an Elements of Artificial intelligence course at the University of Helsinki in April 2019.
