Daniel Samson

Daniel Samson has a diverse work experience in the field of internal audit and management. Daniel served as the Head of Internal Audit and Senior Director at SRI International, where they successfully reestablished the internal audit function and led global audit efforts. Daniel also has experience in evaluating information security controls and collaborating with technology organizations.

In addition, Daniel has been actively involved with The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. Daniel served as the President of the Board of Governors for the San Francisco Chapter and was also a member of various committees, including the Global Guidance Development Committee.

Prior to their role at SRI International, Daniel worked at Raytheon as a Senior Manager of Internal Audit and a Six Sigma Black Belt. Daniel led internal audit activities for two multi-billion dollar divisions and managed a team of auditors.

Daniel has also held leadership positions at the Greater Boston Institute of Internal Auditors and East Boston Main Streets, where they served as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors, respectively.

Earlier in their career, Daniel worked at NSTAR (now National Grid) as a Senior Auditor, where they played a crucial role in implementing the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and participated in major system migrations.

Overall, Daniel Samson has extensive experience in internal audit, risk management, and leadership roles within professional organizations.

Daniel Samson, CIA (he/him/his), has a Masters of Science in Administration with a field of study in Financial Economics from Boston University, obtained in 2006. Prior to that, they hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics from UNH Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, obtained in 1996. In addition, they have certifications as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2001, as well as additional certifications as a Master of Value Creation from SRI International and a Six Sigma Black Belt from Raytheon.
