Chandana L. Aluthgama

Chandana L. Aluthgama currently serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer at Sri Lanka Insurance, a position held since May 2018. With extensive experience in the insurance industry, Chandana held notable roles including Chief Business Officer at HNB General Insurance from January 2015 to April 2018 and Head of Corporate Business at HNB Assurance PLC from November 2004 to January 2015. Additionally, Chandana has been a Senior Lecturer (Visiting) at the University of Colombo since March 2009. Chandana's foundational career began in business development and management with various positions at C T C Eagle Insurance Co. Ltd and other organizations. Academically, Chandana holds an MBA from the University of Colombo and a Bachelor of Commerce Special Degree from the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, alongside executive training from prestigious institutions such as Generali Insurance AG Vienna, National University of Singapore, and AOTS Japan, as well as a Fellowship from the Chartered Management Institute - UK.
