Peter Cunningham

Peter Cunningham is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as the Head of New Ventures Ireland & UK Power Business Development at SSE Thermal since November 2022. Previously, Peter held key positions at Temporis Capital, overseeing onshore wind activities and joint ventures, and at BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH as the Country Lead for Ireland. Additional experience includes roles at EY focusing on advisory services for electricity systems, project management in wind and solar at Gaelectric, and development responsibilities at SSE Renewables and SSE Airtricity. Peter holds a Chartered Engineer designation from Engineers Ireland and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin.
