Sarah Grissenberger

Sarah Grissenberger, PhD, is a postdoctoral researcher at St. Anna Children's Cancer Research Institute (CCRI) since March 2018, focusing on establishing models of Ewing sarcoma in zebrafish. Prior experience includes serving as a scientific assistant and completing a master's thesis at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, where research involved 3D in vitro studies on antitumor peptides against human malignant melanoma. Additional internships at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz and BHS Linz provided experience in antitumor peptide characterization and cytogenetic analysis. Sarah Grissenberger obtained a PhD in malignant diseases from the Medical University of Vienna, following a Master of Science in biochemistry and molecular biomedicine and a Bachelor of Science in molecular biology from Technische Universität Graz. Academic education was preceded by a Matura focused on natural sciences at Bundesrealgymnasium Waidhofen/Ybbs.
