Luke Ramsden FRSA has an extensive and varied work experience. Starting in 2016, they held various positions at St Benedict's School, including Senior Deputy Headmaster and Acting Head of the Junior School. In 2018, they became an ISI inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate. In 2020, they took on the role of Chair of The Safeguarding Company's Safeguarding Advisory Panel, where they played a crucial role in shaping future safeguarding practices. Luke also served as a BSI Committee member and Leader of the Safeguarding Conversation Hub for Ealing Safeguarding Leads at Ealing Council. Moreover, Luke Ramsden worked as a Writer on Educational Leadership for Optimus Education and served as an Expert with Atheneum. Luke joined the National Education Group as an Education Expert in 2023. Additionally, Luke Ramsden was a Member of the Designated Safeguarding Lead Focus Group for the Department for Education and a GLG Council Member, undertaking ad-hoc contract projects for GLG.
Luke Ramsden FRSA attended The Grammar School at Leeds from 1988 to 1996, where they completed their GCSEs. From 1996 to 1998, they studied at Ampleforth College and obtained their A levels in RE, History, Physics, and English. Luke then went on to attend University College, Oxford from 1998 to 2006, where they obtained an MA in Modern History and MStud in Medieval History. However, they did not complete their DPhil at the university. Luke'sfield of study throughout their education was predominantly history.
