Monika Markaj

Monika Markaj is a dedicated healthcare professional with extensive experience in nursing and psychiatric care. Currently serving as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at St. Christopher's Inc. since June 2023, Monika previously worked as a Registered Nurse at Jacobi Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, focusing on cardiac patient treatment and monitoring. Monika's experience includes the implementation of care plans, patient education on chronic conditions, and collaboration with medical teams to ensure patient safety and effective care. Monika began a nursing career as a Nurses Aide and has also contributed to the community in various capacities, including as a CNA at the Sisters of Charity Convent and a party host. Monika holds a Master of Science degree in Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from Pace University and a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing from the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
