Dori Whitworth-Perez

Dori Whitworth-Perez is an experienced educator and community volunteer with a diverse background in teaching and animal welfare. Notably, Dori served as a Special Education teacher and a 4th Grade Teacher at Dunellen Public Schools for nearly three decades, in addition to earlier teaching positions at East Orange Public Schools and Merck Day Care Center. Currently, Dori volunteers at GiGi's Playhouse Inc. and Somerset Regional Animal Shelter, contributing to both educational and animal welfare initiatives. Dori holds a B.A. in Sociology, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education from Rutgers University, complemented by a certification from Wilson Reading Academy as a Certified Wilson Reading Teacher.
