Caswell Samms

Caswell Samms has extensive experience in healthcare finance and administration. Caswell currently holds the role of Senior Vice President and CFO at St. Joseph's Health, starting in December 2020. Prior to that, they served as Vice President and CFO at WellStar Health System from October 2016 to December 2020. Before that, they were the Network Chief Financial Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals, overseeing Lincoln Hospital and Harlem Hospital from December 2013 to October 2016. Caswell also served as Vice President of Finance and Revenue Cycle at St. Barnabas Hospital from April 2011 to December 2013. Caswell Samms began their career as Vice President of Finance and Planning at East Orange General Hospital in May 2005, and later took on the role of Assistant Vice President of Planning and Business Development. Caswell worked at East Orange General Hospital until April 2011.

Caswell Samms completed a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting at Virginia State University from 1994 to 1998. In 2009, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Accounting and Finance at Regis University, which they finished in 2010.
