Gary Ruschman

Voice Faculty, Jazz Faculty at St. Joseph's School of Music

Gary Ruschman serves as the Director of Choirs and Voice Performance at North Hennepin Community College, overseeing choral and vocal programs since August 2021. Concurrently, Ruschman has directed music at St. Timothy Lutheran Church ELCA in St. Paul since September 2014, and has held the position of Music Director for Mixed Precipitation since 2017. As a self-employed music composer and arranger since 1994, Ruschman creates accessible music for various media and performances. Ruschman's extensive freelance work as a classical singer includes various musical genres and collaborations, including directing and conducting for organizations such as the Minnesota Opera and One Voice Mixed Chorus. Additional roles have included teaching and providing private voice instruction at St. Joseph's School of Music and Mount Calvary Academy of Music, as well as serving as an arts consultant to enhance audience engagement in the arts. Ruschman holds a Master of Music in Voice and Opera from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Voice and Art from Northern Kentucky University.
