Janie Picou

Janie Picou is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in various roles, currently serving as the Patient Experience Officer at Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital First Colony since September 2006. Janie has held multiple titles within the hospital, including Inpatient Manager and Transfusion Safety Officer. In addition, Janie has worked as Unit Director at Sugar Land Surgical Hospital and has experience as a Staff RN in both PACU and inpatient units. Janie also contributes to the community as a Ministry Leader at St. Laurence Catholic Church, facilitating a DivorceCare group. Janie began a nursing career as an RN in the Pediatric Step Down Unit at Shands at the University of Florida and holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from Louisiana State University and Southeastern Louisiana University.
