James Mobley is an experienced music educator and author, currently serving as a music educator at Woodhaven-Brownstown School District since 1994, where instruction spans concert bands and jazz ensembles. As the creator of the BOXbeats cajon method books, Mobley also conducts workshops and clinics. Currently holding the position of Consortium Director for the New Band Electro-Acoustic Music consortium, responsibilities include procuring composers and securing ensemble members. Additional roles include being a clinician offering performance-related education, a drummer for St. Luke Lutheran Church and the Depot Town Big Band, and a former associate director and drummer for the Saline Big Band. Educational contributions extended to leadership training in the MAEIA Program. James Mobley holds a degree in Music Education, Instrumental Music from Eastern Michigan University.
