Spence Taintor, Ph.D., MBA, SPHR has a diverse and extensive work experience. Most recently, they served as the Head Of School at St. Mark's Episcopal Church and School since June 2019. Prior to this, they were the Interim Director at Center Academy from 2018 to May 2019. In 2018, they also conducted a research project as FCIS Head of School Research Project, where they interviewed 30 heads of Florida private schools about sustainability in the Headship role and lessons learned since the recession of 2008. From 2015 to 2017, Spence was the Head of School at Brookfield Academy, a PK-12 college preparatory day school known for its strong academics. Spence also served as the Head of School at The Calverton School from 2012 to 2015, an international boarding school with 350 students. In 2004, Spence Taintor enrolled in Capella University, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from 2004 to 2008. During this time, they focused on academic research and leadership in the field of education.
