Shannon Caven

Director, Human Resources, Payroll And Scheduling at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital

Shannon Caven has over 18 years of experience in human resources and administration. They started their career as a CEO/HR Administration Clerk at Perth County in 2003 and worked there until 2010. From 2010 to 2012, Shannon was a Human Resources Coordinator at Ritz Lutheran Villa. They then joined St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital in 2013 and held various roles including Human Resources Consultant, Human Resources Supervisor, Human Resources Manager, and currently serves as the Director of Human Resources, Payroll, and Scheduling.

Shannon Caven completed their education at the Schulich School of Business - York University, where they studied Unionized Environments until 2011. Prior to that, they attended Conestoga College from 2007 to 2009 and obtained a Human Resources Management (with Honours) degree. Shannon also holds several certifications, including Lean Yellow Belt, Leadership Health and Safety Certificate, Community Emergency Management Coordinator (CEMC), Certified Health and Safety Member - Health Care, Lean Green Belt, and Managing Aggressive Behaviour.
