Melissa Wood

Melissa Wood, MHA, has a solid background in sales and management roles within the healthcare industry. Melissa started their career as a Dermatology Specialty Pharmaceutical Representative at Bradley Pharmaceuticals in 2004 before moving to Stiefel, a GSK company, in the same role. In 2008, they transitioned to Allergan, where they served as an Ophthalmic Specialty Senior Territory Manager until 2014. Subsequently, they took on the role of Director of Ophthalmic Refractive Surgical Services at Clemson Eye from 2014 to 2016. Following that, they joined Glaukos Corporation (Avedro) as a Regional Manager and Corporate Trainer until 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Director of North America- Strategic Accounts at STAAR Surgical starting in June 2022. Additionally, Melissa also served as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Cincinnati from 2017 to 2019.

Melissa Wood obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communications/Management from Clemson University in 2002. Melissa then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Health Administration (MHA) from the University of Cincinnati in 2016.
