Jason Ziglar is a highly experienced engineer with a specialized background in robotics and software engineering. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Stack AV since March 2023, Jason has also been involved with Virginia Tech as a Bradley Fellow since June 2013, leading the software efforts for Team VALOR in the DARPA Robotics Challenge. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineering Manager at Latitude AI and Argo AI, where Jason oversaw perception pipelines for self-driving cars and led teams in advanced research and production environments. Jason's earlier experience includes significant contributions at the National Robotics Engineering Consortium and project leadership in lunar rover development at Carnegie Mellon University. Educational credentials comprise a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech, an M.S. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BSE in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Duke University.
