Enrique Canals

Enrique Canals has had a wide range of work experience since 2007. From 2007-2010, they were a Co-founder and Web Developer at Nuklei.com, where they built an end-to-end supply chain management system, a web application that converted PDFs into universally accessible JavaScript slideshows, and implemented “upload-by-email” functionality for various websites. From 2010-2015, they were the Founder of Checkup Technologies, where they designed and built an API to support video conferencing between doctors and patients using WebRTC, worked on connected device integration using HealthKit and Google Fit, and built a mobile application prototype using the Ionic framework. From 2015-2016, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Onward, where they designed and built an API for internal services and mobile applications, built a serverless API to consume high-volume streaming data using Lambda, and architected a filtering service that collected and cached millions of top-level domains in Redis. From 2016-2017, they were the CTO/Head of Engineering at Vezt Inc., where they built all service infrastructure for engineering operations on AWS, developed smart contracts using Solidity to implement business requirements, and wrote an API to facilitate blockchain writes to Ethereum based on smart contract execution using Web3. Since 2019, they have been the VP of Engineering, Principal Platform Engineer, Director of Engineering, and Lead Software Engineer at StackCommerce.

Enrique Canals received a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Florida International University - College of Business between 2004 and 2008.
