Kelly Verheyen has extensive experience in public service and research management. Currently serving as Alderman and Chairman of the Social Committee for the City of Turnhout since January 2019, Kelly shapes the city's social and residential policy. Concurrently, since October 2012, Kelly has held the role of Research Manager at LiCalab, a living lab embedded in Thomas More University of Applied Sciences, focusing on strategic development and collaboration with external partners. Previous positions include Project Manager at LiCalab, Policy Advisor for the City of Turnhout from September 2005 to August 2012, and Researcher at SCK-CEN from September 2003 to August 2005. Kelly holds a Master's degree in Management of Public Organizations from Universiteit Gent and a Bachelor's degree from Ghent University.
