John Wilson

John Wilson currently serves as the Director of Cultural Arts at the Jewish Community Center of St. Louis, a position held since January 2023, where responsibilities include promoting various cultural initiatives such as the Jewish Film Festival and Jewish Book Festival. In addition, John has been a Teaching Artist and involved in Curriculum Development at STAGES St. Louis since January 2022, while also working as a Fight Director for over 50 productions in professional theaters and universities across the St. Louis and Kansas City markets since 1998. Previously, John held the role of Chair, Professor of Theatre, and Head of the School of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Central Missouri from August 2000 to July 2020. Educational qualifications include a Master of Fine Arts in Performance from the National Theatre Conservatory and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Arizona State University, alongside a high school diploma from Punahou School.
