Joseph P. Oshry

Joseph P. Oshry is an experienced lighting designer and owner of Designed Lighting LLC, specializing in lighting design for theatre, opera, and dance since 1986. Oshry has consulted on numerous lighting systems for various prestigious institutions, including American Stage Theatre Company and the Straz Center, and has designed lighting for 86 productions at American Stage Theatre Company alone. Active since 1991 with IATSE Local USA 829 and United Scenic Artists Local 829, Joseph has also designed for the David A. Straz, Jr. Center, Atlanta Lyric Theatre, Florida Repertory Theatre, Sarasota International Dance Festival, and New Orleans Opera Association. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Design and Production from Illinois State University and participation in the Broadway Lighting Masters Class.
