James Carver has a diverse work experience, starting in 1983 at Carver Machine Works, Inc., where they worked as a Design Engineer. James sketched and measured components for the chemical and pulp industries, implemented Autocad, and maintained a drawing database. From 1995 to 1999, they owned and operated Carver Music, a retail store for musical equipment sales and services. James provided sound production, guitar lessons, and installation of sound systems in churches and schools. At Allied Tech from 1999 to 2002, they worked as a Design Engineer and Machinist, designing fixtures and gages for various industries and machining metal components. From 2002 to 2004, at Innovative Tool & Design Inc., they worked as a Design Engineer and Machinist, designing fixtures, jet engine carriers, and other components for military use. At Hood Richardson Survey from 2004 to 2005, they worked as a Survey Map Designer. Finally, at Stanadyne Corporation from 2005 onwards, they worked as a Sr. Tool Design Engineer, designing gages, fixtures, machines, and tooling, creating instructional documentation, and working with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing groups to improve product quality and flow.
From 1982 to 1985, James Carver attended Beaufort County Community College, where they pursued an associate degree in Mechanical Design & Draft Technology.
