Ahmed Hussein

Ahmed Hussein is an experienced journalist currently working at Voice of America since November 2022, focusing on drought, conflicts, and human interest stories in Kenya and Somalia. As a correspondent for KTN News since January 2020, Ahmed covers social, economic, and political issues in Northern Kenya and reports on Somali politics and insecurity. Previous roles include data analyst at the International Committee of the Red Cross, media trainer with the Norwegian Refugee Council, communications officer for Southern Aid, and press officer for Wajir County Government. Ahmed's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Journalism from Moi University, completed in 2013.
