Stan Knott

Stan Knott is an accomplished media executive with extensive experience in broadcast management and consulting. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Standard Media since April 2019 and as President of Pyramid Management Solutions LLC since January 2017, Stan specializes in consulting for the broadcast industry, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, ATSC 3.0, station operations, and programming. Previously, Stan held various leadership roles, including Vice President at MEDIA GENERAL/Young Broadcasting, where contributions included digital development and social media strategy, and Vice President General Manager at WKRN, leading significant growth in Nashville's market position. Stan also served as Vice President General Manager at WOFL TV/WBRW/WOGX, where a strong digital presence was established, and at WDAF-TV, achieving notable improvements in news and programming that resulted in significant market share growth. Additional experience includes leading WBRC FOX6 News through a successful affiliate switch and various roles in local news from 1981 to 1991. Stan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, Finance, and Management from Auburn University.
