Kate Leonard has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the legal and compliance field. Kate is currently the Director of Corporate Governance & Compliance at The Standard since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Cambia Health Solutions as the Senior Ethics Officer from March 2020 to May 2023. Before that, Kate was self-employed as an Employment Attorney/Civil Rights Investigator at K. Leonard LLC from September 2018 to March 2020. Kate also served as a Civil Rights Investigator & Trainer at Oregon Health and Science University from March 2018 to October 2018. Kate's earlier roles include being the Title IX/ADA Coordinator at the University of Washington from April 2016 to March 2018, and an Investigation and Resolution Specialist at the same university from April 2013 to March 2016. Kate started their career as an Assistant Attorney General at the Attorney General's Office from May 2008 to April 2013 and the Oregon Department of Justice from December 2001 to May 2007.
Kate Leonard earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Lewis & Clark Law School between 1997 and 2000. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Washington from 1992 to 1997, majoring in Political Science and obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. In addition to their formal education, Kate also obtained a certification in "Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant on Option B: Building Resilience" from LinkedIn in 2020.
