Chris Blanar

Chris Blanar has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Chris is currently the Vice President of Operations at Standen's starting from 2023. Previously, from 2019 to 2023, they founded Forward Modular Buildings Inc., specializing in advanced permanent modular buildings. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2019, they worked as a Principal Consultant at Manufacturedge Consulting, providing operational efficiency and LEAN enterprise improvement services. Chris also had roles as a Roster Consultant - Operational Improvement at the Business Development Bank of Canada from 2004 to 2015, a Consultant - Business Process Analyst at SMART Technologies in 2009-2010, and the VP Manufacturing at TRAK Kayaks Inc. in 2001. In addition, they worked as the Director of Operations - Western Canada at Data Group of Companies from 1995 to 2000, and as a Manufacturing Manager at Bonar Packaging (now Hood Packaging) from 1988 to 1995. Chris began their career as a Power and rolling stock Project Engineer at CN Rail from 1984 to 1988.

Chris Blanar attended the University of Calgary from 1979 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
