Dr. Jeff James

Superintendent at STANLY COUNTY SCHOOLS

Dr. Jeff James serves as Superintendent for both Iredell-Statesville Public Schools since July 2020 and Stanly County Schools since March 2018. Additionally, Dr. James has held the position of Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction/Federal Programs at Montgomery County Schools since June 2013, overseeing federal program deployment and curriculum development. Prior experience includes serving as Principal at Iredell Statesville Schools from February 2002 to July 2013, where notable achievements included significant student growth, recognition for outstanding instructional strategy leadership, and development of a positive school climate. Dr. James holds advanced degrees in educational leadership and administration from UNC-Greensboro, Appalachian State University, and Gardner-Webb University, as well as a Master of Arts in Special Education and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
