Donna Leinwand Leger

Donna Leinwand Leger is a seasoned journalist and communications professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Promotion at the Champagne Bureau USA since January 2024, Donna represents the interests of over 16,000 growers and businesses from the Champagne region. Previously, Donna held senior advisory responsibilities at Stanton Communications since September 2018 and served as Chairperson for the National Press Foundation from February 2020 to May 2022. Additionally, Donna was the Managing Editor at USA TODAY from 2000 to May 2018, where oversight included breaking news and international news teams. Other notable roles include Media Leader for the World Economic Forum and President of the National Press Club. Donna's journalistic journey began at Knight Ridder Newspapers, where coverage focused on Congress and federal agencies. Donna holds a BA/BS in Journalism and History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and participated in the National High School Institute in Journalism at Northwestern University.
