Anthony Hawkins has a diverse range of work experience in various electrical engineering roles. Anthony started their career as a Graduate Electrical Engineer at Amcor Cartonboard in 1996 and undertook several small continuous improvement projects during this time. Anthony then became an Electrical Engineer, responsible for maintenance and reliability across the site, as well as participating in larger projects such as the installation of new DCS and PLC systems. Hawkins later became a Senior Electrical Engineer at Amcor Cartonboard, where they led a $50 million upgrade project on the Paper Machine's Wetend. This involved designing, planning, constructing, and commissioning the electrical, instrument, and control aspects of the project. Anthony also worked on the installation of various equipment, including DCS hardware, motor control centers, variable speed drives, and field instruments. In 2014, Hawkins joined Sibelco Australia & New Zealand as an Electrical Engineer, where they worked until 2018. Finally, they joined Stanwell Corporation Limited in 2018 as an Electrical Plant Engineer.
Anthony Hawkins obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) with a specialization in Electrical from CQUniversity, where they studied from 1992 to 1995. In 2006 to 2007, they pursued a Certificate IV in Competitive Lean Manufacturing at Swinburne University of Technology. In 2014, they completed two diplomas at TAFE Queensland: one in Project Management and the other in Management. Additionally, Anthony has obtained several certifications, including UETTDRRF004 and HLTAID009 CPR and LV Rescue from First Response Australia Pty Ltd in February 2023, ICAM Lead Investigator from Safety Wise Solutions in May 2015, and Construction Induction (Blue Card) from Biga Training in October 2007.
