Michelle Roach, FCPA has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Michelle is currently serving as the General Manager of Commercial, Joint Ventures & Portfolio Investments at Stanwell Corporation Limited since January 2023. Prior to this, Michelle worked at AGL Energy from 2016 to 2023, where they held the position of Senior Finance Manager - Macquarie.

Before joining AGL Energy, Michelle held various roles at Yancoal Australia Limited from 2012 to 2016. Their roles included Regional Financial Controller (NSW) from April 2014 to February 2016, and Commercial Manager from November 2012 to April 2014.

Michelle's career began at Boeing in 2005 as a Management & Project Accountant. Michelle then worked at Rio Tinto as a Site Accountant for Tarong Mine from 2006 to 2008, followed by a role as a Business Analyst at RPMGlobal from 2008 to 2009. Michelle then joined BHP as a Senior Accountant from 2009 to 2010 before returning to Rio Tinto as a Senior Business Analyst from 2010 to 2012.

Overall, Michelle Roach has accumulated considerable experience in finance, management, and commercial functions, and has worked with prominent organizations in the industry.

Michelle Roach, FCPA, completed their Bachelor of Accounting degree at CQUniversity from 2003 to 2006, focusing on the field of study in accounting and finance. Michelle then pursued their certification as a CPA at CPA Australia, completing the program from 2008 to 2011. In 2015, Michelle attended Mt Eliza Business School to further develop their leadership skills through the Leading for Strategic Success program.
