Rory Holmes has a diverse work experience in various industries. In 2012, they started as a Travel Expert at STA Travel, where they worked until 2014. They then joined Flight Centre as an Assistant Team Leader from 2014 to 2016, followed by a role as an Account Manager at Corporate Traveller UK from March 2016 to September 2016. From September 2016 to October 2017, Rory served as the Head of Customer Relations at both Topdeck Travel and Back-Roads Touring. In 2018, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Queensland, focusing on socio-economic analysis and community engagement projects. Since 2019, Rory has been working at Stanwell Corporation Limited, starting as a Pricing and Market Analyst from May 2019 to January 2020, then progressing to a Project Advisor role from January 2020 to September 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Project Delivery Advisor and will transition into the role of Commercial Project Specialist in December 2022.
Rory Holmes completed a Bachelor of Business with a specialization in Banking and Finance from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) between 2004 and 2006. In 2018 to 2019, Rory pursued a Masters of Sustainable Energy at The University of Queensland. In addition to their formal education, Rory also obtained certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid from St John Ambulance in October 2022 and completed the Advancing Negotiation Skills course offered by Scotwork Negotiating Skills in March 2017.
