Charis Plakantonaki began their work experience in 2003 as Deputy Venue Manager for the Organizing Committee Olympic Games ATHENS 2004. Charis then joined Diageo in 2005 as a member of the Centre of Excellence before moving on to the Boston Consulting Group in 2006, where they worked as a Senior Consultant until 2008. From 2008 to 2015, Charis held various positions at THENAMARIS SHIPS MANAGEMENT INC, including Strategic Projects Manager and Head of Corporate Communications. Since 2015, they have been working at Star Bulk, starting as the Head of Strategic Planning and eventually becoming the Chief Strategy Officer in 2017.
Charis Plakantonaki completed their education at the following institutions:
- From 2002 to 2003, they pursued an MBA in Business Administration at INSEAD.
- From 1997 to 2001, they obtained an MS in International and European Economics and Politics from the University of Macedonia.
- In 1999-2000, they participated in the Erasmus program at the Universidad de Málaga, where they focused on Business Administration.
- Lastly, from 1991 to 1997, they attended Anatolia College, although the degree or field of study completed during that time is not specified.
